One of the greatest joys of the ministry is watching young men grow up to answer God’s call in their life. God has given us many young men over the years that have chosen that call. Harley Snode is just such a young man.
Harley grew up here at Mansfield Baptist Temple and graduated from Temple Christian School. After graduation, his family moved to Carrollton, Ohio, and Harley went on to graduate from Pensacola Christian College. For the last six years, Harley and his wife, Heidi have been serving faithfully at Dixie Baptist Church in Clarkston, Michigan.
Recently, God has begun to put a burden on Harley’s life for the city of Wooster, Ohio. We also began to realize that this nearby area had no strong independent, fundamental church.
God has allowed our church, once again, to be a part of Harley’s life by sending Harley and his family, with our complete support, to build a good church in Wooster. Our intention is to support this effort in every way possible. If God were to put it on your heart to have a part in this needy work, it would be a blessing both to the Snodes, and to Mansfield Baptist Temple.
If you have questions about this partnership, please feel free to call. May God bless you in your labors for the Lord.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dale V. Adkins, Pastor
Mansfield Baptist Temple

Please accept my whole-hearted recommendation of Harley and Heidi Snode and their boys in planting the Wooster Baptist Church, in Wooster, Ohio.
I have known Harley since he was a teenager, working in the bus ministry with him and his family. Harley was always very respectful and helpful and worked hard while never complaining. I have watched him grow over the years into the man of God he is today. Years in the bus ministry, youth ministry, and as an associate pastor, have allowed Harley to develop the gifts and experience necessary to plant and pastor a church. I believe God has also brought him a wonderful help meet in Heidi. It is my expectation that the Snode’s will do a great work for God in Wooster.
Please allow me to inform you of the need in Wooster. I moved to Wooster as a young boy of twelve and graduated from Wooster High School in 1986. God called me to preach in 2000, and I have been privileged to pastor the Loudonville Baptist Temple, a five-year-old church plant of the Mansfield Baptist Temple, since 2003. About 2 years ago, I began to notice more and more visitors coming to our church from the Wooster area. Loudonville is about twenty-five minutes from Wooster. Unfortunately, churches that once contended for the faith, are bowing to the popular pragmatic philosophy of ministry. Many of the faithful members of these churches are finding themselves looking for what their churches used to be – Bible-believing, independent, hymn-singing, soul-winning, separated, independent Baptist churches. I mentioned this need to Harley in passing while he was in town preaching at LBT. Little did I know that God had already been working in Harley and Heidi’s hearts about the Wooster area. There are thousands of souls in Wooster who need to hear the wonderful news that Christ died in their place!
Our church is helping the Snodes in every way we can. We are supporting them financially, and many of our church family will be involved in laboring with them in getting the word out about this new church. Would you consider committing to help this family as well?
Looking for that blessed Hope,
Rev. Dave Koehler, Pastor
Loudonville Baptist Temple

I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Harley Snode here in our ministry for the past six years. Harley came fresh out of graduation from Bible College, where he was President of the Ministerial class, to join our staff. He has served the Lord faithfully as Youth Pastor, and Assistant Pastor. I have watched his life and have seen how the Lord has prepared him and is using him for His glory.
Personally, I am saddened that he is moving on from here, but I know that he is obeying what the Lord has put in his heart, to plant a new church in his hometown of Wooster, Ohio. I joyfully anticipate what the Lord will continue to do in and through him.
God has given him a fine wife, and to date, two wonderful sons. They are a credit to the Lord’s work. I know him to be a fine husband, father, co-laborer, and friend. He has a deep love for God, a growing knowledge of the Bible, and a heart for people. He has proven himself to be a faithful servant of our Savior.
I highly recommend him to you. God bless you.
Your Friend,
Dr. J. Todd Vanaman, Pastor
